Terms of Sale

1 · All Sales Are Final

Every sale is final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges — on digital downloads, fine-art prints, framed editions, or original artifacts. Digital editions are delivered instantly and cannot be "returned"; original artifacts are one-of-one and are represented exactly as photographed. Please examine the listing photographs and descriptions carefully before acquiring — they are the item, presented without retouching of condition.

Physical editions ship insured with tracking. If a shipment arrives damaged, the remedy is the carrier insurance claim, which we will file and manage on your behalf — contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the item and packaging.

Where the consumer-protection law of your jurisdiction grants rights that cannot be waived by agreement, nothing in these terms limits those rights.

2 · License for Reproductions — Personal Use Only

Digital downloads, fine-art prints, and framed editions are sold under a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license. You may display them in your home or office, print a digital edition for your own walls, and give a physical edition as a gift. You may not:

• Resell, redistribute, or share the digital files, in whole or in part;
• Reproduce any edition for sale — as prints, print-on-demand goods, publications, stock imagery, NFTs, or any commercial product;
• Use any edition in commercial media, advertising, or merchandise without a separate written license from The Printed Past.

Violation of this license terminates it immediately. We actively monitor for unauthorized commercial reproduction of our editions and will pursue every remedy available at law — including claims for breach of contract and, where applicable, infringement of copyright in our photography, restorations, and compilations. Commercial licensing is available and often affordable: write to the archivists first.

3 · Original Artifacts

Items marked ★ Original Artifact are the antique objects themselves — one of one, sold as-is in the condition shown, at market value. Descriptions are made in good faith from careful examination. Each original ships fully insured with tracking and a certificate of provenance from the collection. Title passes on delivery; the personal-use license above does not restrict a buyer's lawful ownership of the physical artifact itself.

4 · Watermarked Previews

All imagery displayed on this site is watermarked and protected. Site imagery may not be copied, scraped, or reproduced for any purpose. Clean, full-resolution files exist only in the vault and are delivered solely to verified purchasers.

5 · Disputes & Chargebacks

Orders are processed by Stripe, and these terms are presented at checkout. Payment disputes filed in place of honoring these terms will be contested with the full order record: the terms shown at purchase, delivery and download logs, and shipment tracking.
